PFDN1 (prefoldin subunit 1) is a heterohexamer, in which two subunits are a-like and four are ß-like. This gene is localized to 5q31.3 and spans 1322bp.
Synonyms: Anti-Prefoldin subunit 1 antibody produced in rabbit
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-PFDN1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org). Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. The antibodies are also tested using immunofluorescence and western blotting. To view these protocols and other useful information about Prestige Antibodies and the HPA, visit sigma.com/prestige.
Biochem Physiol Actions: PFDN1 (prefoldin subunit 1) plays an essential role in the synthesis of actin and tubulin, where their nascent chains interact with PFDN1 protein. These naïve chains are subsequently transferred to cytosolic chaperonin CCT protein.
