PAP associated domain containing 5 (PAPD5) belongs to the family of noncanonical poly(A) polymerases. It is located at 16q12.1 on the human chromosome.
Synonyms: Anti-PAP associated domain containing 5; Anti-TRF4-2
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-PAPD5 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting and co-immunoprecipitation.
Biochem Physiol Actions: PAP associated domain containing 5 (PAPD5) plays a role in the uridylation-dependent degradation of histone mRNAs. It is also involved in catalyzing the polyadenylation of various RNA substrates in vitro. PAPD5 is also involved in the maturation of small nucleolar RNA, H/ACA box 63 (SNORA63). It is also involved in the degradation of microRNA 21 (miR-21).
