General description: Natriuretic peptide receptor 3 (NPR3) is a natriuretic peptide receptor. It is expressed in endothelial cells, vessels, endocrine glands, lungs and kidneys. The gene encoding NPR3 is localized on human chromosome 5p14-p13. The protein consists of a 450-amino acid extracellular ligand-binding domain, a transmembrane region and a cytoplasmic tail.
Application: Anti-NPR3 (C-terminal) antibody produced in goat has been used in Western blotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Natriuretic peptide receptor 3 (NPR3) has a role in the clearance of natriuretic peptides and modulates their plasma levels. It is associated with essential hypertension. NPR3 may be involved in signaling pathways and is associated with inhibitory G protein.
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence C-HRELREDSIRSHFS, from the C-terminal region of the protein sequence according toNP_000899.1
Physical form: Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in 20mM Tris (pH 7.3) and 150mM NaCl with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
