Synonyms: MI; Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor; WS2; WS2A; bHLHe32
MDL Number: MFCD03097016
Storage: -20C
Application: Rabbit polyclonal anti-MITF antibody is used to tag microphthalmia-associated transcription factor for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of microphthalmia-associated transcription factor in melanocyte proliferation, development, and survival and the regulation of regulator of osteoclastogenesis.
Biochem Physiol Actions: MITF (microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) participates in the growth and differentiation of melanocytes. Mutations in MITF results in waardenburg syndrome type IIa.
