Integrin a-8 (ITGA8) is a transmembrane protein. This protein is encoded by the ITGA8 gene in humans. The gene is highly expressed in smooth muscle and smooth muscle-like contractile cells. The ITGA8 gene is located on the human chromosome at 10p13.
