Application: Anti-IMPDH2 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1mug/mL.
Biochem Physiol Actions: IMPDH2 gene encodes the rate-limiting enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase 2. It consists of 14 exons and is approximately 5.8kb in length. It is localised in the cytoplasm and nucleus. It plays a pivotal role in catalysing the NAD-dependent oxidation of inosine-5'-monophosphate into xanthine-5'-monophosphate, later converted to guanosine-5'-monophosphate. A novel non-genotoxic p53 activator Inauzhin (INZ) inhibits cellular activity of IMPDH2, which in turn reduces the levels of cellular GTP and GTP-binding nucleostemin. INZ also induces the ribosomal stress (RS)-p53 pathway and RPL11/RPL5-MDM2 interaction and activates p53 and inhibits cancer cell growth.
