Biochem Physiol Actions: Interleukin 22 (IL22) cellular effects are mediated by a heterodimeric receptor made up of IL22 and IL-10Rß. IL22 signaling mediates proliferation of epithelial cells during inflammation mainly by the activation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) and STAT3 signaling.
