The heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (hnRNPM) is a 72.5-74 kDa protein, present in nuclear bodies. This gene encodes a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling RNA binding protein. It is located on human chromosome 19.
Synonyms: Anti-Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M; Anti-hnRNP M
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-HNRNPM antibody has been used in immunohistochemistry and immunoblotting.
Biochem Physiol Actions: The heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (hnRNPM) controls gene expression. HnRNPM serves as a splicing factor. It participates in TGFß (transforming growth factor beta) signaling and stimulates breast cancer metastasis in animals. hnRNPM also induces CD44 (type I transmembrane protein) exon skipping.
