General description: GM130 is a peripheral membrane protein that is bound to the Golgi complex. GM130 regulates a broad range of cellular functions such as cell movement, cell cycle, Golgi body assembly, glycosylation, and cell polarization . Anti-GM130 (C-terminal) antibody is specific for GM130 in humans, mice and rats. The immunizing peptide specifically inhibits the detection of the GM130 band by immunoblotting. The antibody may detect additional bands in some cell and tissue extracts.
Application: Anti-GM130 (C-terminal) antibody can be used in immunoblotting (approx. 130 kDa), indirect immunofluorescence (0.2-0.4 mug/mL using rat NRK cells), and immunoprecipitation (2-4 mug using Hela and 3T3 cell extracts). The antibody can also be used for chemiluminescent western blot (0.1-0.2 mug/mL using whole extract of rat NRK cells).
Application: Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.Immunohistochemistry (1 paper)Western Blotting (1 paper)
Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human GM130 with an N-terminal added lysine, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in rat and mouse GM130.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7,.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
