Biochem Physiol Actions: GABPB1 (GA binding protein transcription factor, ß subunit 1) plays a key role in transcriptional regulation. It has ability to form homodimer as well as heterodimer with GABPß1L. It has been predicted that GABPB1 exerts a distinct role in regulating lymphocyte development including B cell expansion and humoral responses. GABPB1 controls autophagy through the activation of BECN1-PIK3C3 (Beclin 1-phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase) complex.
