Cullin 4B (CUL4B) gene is mapped to human chromosome Xq24. It codes for ubiquitin E3 ligase, which is a member of cullin-really interesting new gene (RING) ubiquitin ligase complex.
Synonyms: CUL4B Antibody - Anti-CUL4B antibody produced in rabbit; Cul4B Antibody; Anti-CUL-4B antibody produced in rabbit; Anti-Cullin-4B antibody produced in rabbit
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-CUL4B antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation.
Biochem Physiol Actions: Cullin 4B (CUL4B) plays an important development role in extra-embryonic tissue during mouse embryogenesis. It is implicated in regulation of various biological processes. CUL4B triggers tumor formation by inducing proliferation and preventing cell death of human osteosarcoma cells. Overexpression of the gene is associated with the development of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Therefore, knockdown ofCUL4B gene is considered to be a potential therapeutic method for treating NSCLC. Mutation in the gene leads to X-linked mental retardation (XLMR).
