The CUGBP Elav-like family member 4 (CELF4) codes for a RNA binding protein. It belongs to the CELF/Bruno-like family. CELF4 is also known as BRUNOL4 (bruno-like 4). It has highly conserved RNA recognition motif. This gene located on human chromosome 18.
Synonyms: Anti-BRUNOL4; Anti-CUGBP, Elav-like family member 4
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-CELF4 antibody has been used in immunoprecipitation (iCLIP).
Biochem Physiol Actions: The CUGBP Elav-like family member 4 (CELF4) modulates pre-mRNA alternative splicing. It also controls splicing of human insulin receptor (IR) exon 11. CELF4 is considered as a positive regulator of human and chicken cardiac troponin T (cTNT) exon 5 alternative splicing. The encoded protein binds to RNA subsets that participates in pre- and postsynaptic neurotransmission.
