General description: Cluster of differentiation 28 (CD28) antigen is a co-stimulatory receptor expressed in naive T-cells. It contains a short cytoplasmic tail and two proline-rich motifs.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Cluster of differentiation 28 (CD28) antigen has a role in T-cell activation, proliferation, survival and function. It modulates thymic development, peripheral homeostasis and the suppressive functions of regulatory T cells. CD28 has a role in signal transduction and is involved in activating many adaptor proteins.
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence KEKHLCHTQSSPK, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_031668.3
Physical form: Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in 20mM Tris (pH 7.3) and 150mM NaCl with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
