Synonyms: Anti-CD226 antigen precursor; Anti-DNAM-1; Anti-DNAX accessory molecule 1
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-CD226 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org). Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. The antibodies are also tested using immunofluorescence and western blotting. To view these protocols and other useful information about Prestige Antibodies and the HPA, visit sigma.com/prestige.
Biochem Physiol Actions: CD226 is an activating receptor consisting of two extracellular domains and mainly functions through its first extracellular domain. This molecule interacts with the ligands CD155 and CD112. With the help of immune-receptor tyrosine-based activatory motif (ITAM), it activates natural killer (NK) cells. Polymorphisms of this gene is associated with inflammatory demyelinating diseases and development of gastric cancer.
