General description: The amino acid sequence of ADP-ribosyltransferase 1 (ART1) consists of predominantly hydrophobic N- and C-terminal regions, which is characteristic of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 11p15.4.
Biochem/physiol Actions: ADP-ribosyltransferase 1 (ART1) catalyzes the ADP-ribosylation of arginine residues in proteins. Mono-ADP-ribosylation is a posttranslational modification of proteins that is interfered with by a variety of bacterial toxins including cholera, pertussis, and heat-labile enterotoxins of Escherichia coli. This protein has been associated with colon carcinoma.
Immunogen: ART1 (NAR1_HUMAN, 19-53)This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human ART1.
Physical form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
