Synonyms: Anti-alpha/beta-Hydrolase 4 antibody produced in rabbit; Anti-lyso-N-Acylphosphatidylethanolamine lipase antibody produced in rabbit; Anti-Abhydrolase domain-containing protein 4 antibody produced in rabbit
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-ABHD4 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org). Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. The antibodies are also tested using immunofluorescence and western blotting. To view these protocols and other useful information about Prestige Antibodies and the HPA, visit sigma.com/prestige.
Biochem Physiol Actions: ABHD4 (aß hydrolase domain containing 4) is a genetic regulator of anoikis resistance and sensitivity. It acts as a (lyso)N-acyl phosphatidylethanolamines (NAPE) -selective lipase in the NAPE-PLD (phospholipase D)-independent pathway for NAE (N-acyl ethanolamines) biosynthesis. NAEs are signaling lipids that function in various physiological processes such as, nociception, cognition, anxiety, appetite, and inflammation.
