General description: Methyl chloroacetate acts as extraction solvent during the separation of neutral compounds with concentration enhancement using coupling liquid-liquid semimicroextraction with micellar electrokinetic chromatography through on-capillary decomposition. It regenerates the PdCl2-CuCl2/activated carbon catalyst used for synthesis of dimethyl carbonate.
Application: Methyl chloroacetate was used in the preparation of (carboxymethyl) trimethylammonium chloride esters. It may be used in the synthesis of octakis-(carbethoxymethoxy)calix[8]arene.
