Accessories for Elma Ultrasonic Cleaners
The effectiveness of an ultrasonic cleaning or mixing operation depends on the proper positioning of the parts or samples in the bath. A variety of accessories are available to accomplish this.
Note that standard baskets and tank covers are listed on the pages with the ultrasonic cleaners. This page lists special accessories.
Cylindrical fine mesh immersion baskets are used to hold tiny parts. These baskets fit inside beakers.
- Beaker supports and beakers
Flat stainless steel tank covers with 1 or 2 holes support either 600 mL or 1000 mL beakers. The beakers come with plastic lids. The beaker assembly can be used with flammable solvents when the ultrasonic cleaner is used in a fume hood. (Check with your local safety department.)
Operation of an ultrasonic bath produces heat even when a heater is not activated. Cooling coils are used to maintain bath temperature when samples are thermally sensitive. Cooling coils must be connected to an external source of cold liquid such as a recirculating chiller. Two cooling coil sizes are available: the smaller coil fits Elma ultrasonic tank sizes 30, 40, 70, and 150. The larger coil fits Elma tank sizes 60, 80, 100, 120, 180, and 300.
Clamps are available to secure Erlenmeyer flasks to the bottom of a standard basket. They are available in several sizes.
The stainless steel test tube rack hold 16 test tubes with a diameter of 16.5 mm. The rack fits Elma size 15, 30, 40, 60, 70, and 80 tanks.
Acid resistant tubs are used to protect the ultrasonic tank from cleaning solutions that are damaging to stainless steel such as mineral acids. Additionally, the tubs can be used to safely clean with flammable solvents with a flash point ≥ 100°C. (Tubs are not for use with low flash point solvents!)
The sound insulating box reduces cavitation noise of an operating ultrasonic unit. The exhaust fan removes vapors from the box. A plexiglass panel offers full visibility of your process. Elma ultrasonic tanks sizes 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 60 fit inside the medium box and 100, 120 and TI-H 5 fit inside the large box.
