A chromophoric substrate that is used to quantify inorganic phosphate (Pi) in the presence of purine nucleoside phosphorylase, followed by continuous spectrophotometry at an absorbance of 355-360 nm; used to measure changes in Pi levels in coupled enzyme systems.
