Lab Dialysis Tubing

Dialysis tubing is ideal for applications that separate molecules or ions based on their size and diffusion properties. Dialysis tubing is available in various diameters to accommodate different experiment requirements. Sizing for your dialysis tube can also be measured in molecular weight cutoffs (MWCOs) to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Thomas Scientific offers a range of dialysis tubes suitable for small-scale or large-scale experiments, delivering convenience and leak-proof dialysis to ensure precise, accurate results. Dialysis tubing is made from high-quality materials, cellulose, and regenerated cellulose. Other materials can, include polyethylene or polypropylene, may also be used. Using these materials on dialysis membranes ensures maximum performance and reliability with samples.

For further tubing needs see our range of lab tubing and centrifuge tubing.

Are dialysis tubes reusable?

Yes, dialysis tubes can be reusable, but it depends on the material and intended application. Tubes made of cellulose or regenerated cellulose can often be reused after thorough cleaning and proper sterilization, provided they are not damaged or contaminated. For highly sensitive applications or when contamination is a concern, single-use is recommended to maintain sample integrity. Always check manufacturer guidelines for reuse instructions.
