1) Entry
Product available:
Jellagen products MUST have been used in the generation of imagery and data. It is not permitted to use any other collagen/substrate manufacturer. Additives are permitted but must be declared.
Copyright of ALL images (before and after any manipulation) must be held by the entrant. Jellagen reserves the right to request confirmation of copyright.
You represent and warrant to Jellagen that: i) you are the sole and exclusive owner of your submission, or that you have all right and authority to grant the rights in the submission to Jellagen described herein; ii) you have obtained any and all releases necessary from all persons (or their legal guardians) depicted in the submissions.
Entrants must declare if images have been manipulated (e.g, modified in Photoshop).
Entrants may submit up to five images.
Image specifications:
- Submitted in high res JPEG or PNG format
- Colour or black and white can be accepted
- One-line caption must accompany each image
- Images MUST be original and not copied or reproduced

Submissions MUST be accompanied by a full description of cell line, data, imaging equipment and final application. Images that do not conform to the image specifications will be rejected. Additives are permitted but must be declared. Send all entries to imagecomp@jellagen.co.uk. Please note: prints or images submitted by disc or memory stick are not permitted.
2) Copyright & Usage
Entrant will retain copyright. Jellagen reserves the right to use all submitted photographs, including those not chosen to win prizes, in promotional materials without further permission from, or providing payment for use to, the photographer. Credit may be given to the photographer if reproduced.
Please note: Jellagen does not accept any liability for lost, damaged, delayed or incomplete entries.
Winning entrants may be required to supply their image in a high-resolution or specific format for ad-hoc print and publicity purposes.
Submissions that, in the sole discretion of the judges, are considered inappropriate or unsuitable will be deemed ineligible and removed from the competition.
By entering the competition, entrants agree for their images to be publicly displayed in online photo galleries including, but not limited to, Jellagen website, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram), in compliance with their user terms and conditions.
By entering this competition, if your entry is deemed eligible, you consent to the use of your name, biographical information, winning entry and any statements attributed to you, or photographs of you taken subsequently, being used for promotional purposes without additional compensation to you. As such, you hereby grant to Jellagen and any subsequently agreed official sponsor or sponsors a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce works based on your submission without any obligation to compensate you.
Entrant retains copyright of the image submitted but must declare to Jellagen if the images will be used elsewhere (e.g publications, papers, posters or other image competitions) before submission to the Jellagen Image Competition.
3) Prizes
Only 1 prize per entrant and entrants can enter multiple times.
1st Prize – $500 gift card
2nd Prize – $275 gift card
You have 6 months to redeem your prize from announcement of winning the competition. All decisions will be final, no cash alternative to the gift card. We retain the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value if the original prize offered is not available.
4) Important Dates
The deadline to submit your data and images is Friday, July 1, 2022.
Winner and runner up will be announced on Friday, August 26, 2022.
Jellagen reserves the right to amend all dates & deadlines.
