An accessory to the Protector® VS™ Ventilation Station, the Filtermate filters the contaminated air generated and returns purified air to the laboratory. The Opening Reduction Kit is required for 3’ Protector VS Ventilation Stations to ensure face velocities of up to 100 feet per minute. Filtermate accommodates a single carbon based or HEPA filter, two filter cells, one carbon, one HEPA. Prefilters are designed to extend the life of color-smart filter cells.

Organic Filter Cells are color coded black and are suited for vapors from organic solvents such as acetone, ethyl acetate, tolulene and xylene. Acid Gas Filter Cells are color coded white and are suitable for gases from acids including hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric. Formaldehyde Filter Cells are color coded olive green and are suitable for formaldehyde vapors. Ammonia filter cells are color coded bright green and are suitable for ammonia and low molecular weight amines. HEPA filter cells are color coded purple and are suitable for removing particulates such as powders and pollen. They are 99.99% efficient. Sealed HEPA filter cells are available for applications involving bag out procedures.
