This product is non-magnetic beads that are coated with oligos ending in a 3’ poly-dT capture sequence. The key feature of these beads is a unique barcode on each bead where every oligo on that bead has the same barcode but every bead has a different barcode. The oligos include a unique molecular identifiers (UMI), so customers can use these beads in a dropseq-style single-cell RNA-seq experiment to capture and sequence the mRNAs from a single cell. All the transcripts in the RNA-seq library from each single cell end up being barcoded with the same barcode present on the bead that was associated with that cell. Many individual cells are sequences in each experiment.
