Hot plate stirrers use microprocessor-controlled feedback technology to maintain consistent stir speed and temperature. Digital temperature display is adjustable in 5°C increments and indicates when set temperature has been achieved. Likewise, the digital speed display indicated when set speed is reached. Stir and heat displays allow specific settings for labs that have or need to establish routine protocols.
Advanced insulation technology conserves energy by keeping heat safely at the top where it belongs. Effective two-piece casting design deflects spills from electronics, which are enclosed for improved performance and durability.
Heating is microprocessor controlled and passes FCC regulations for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Hot top indicator light blinks a warning if the top is too hot to touch (≥60°C) - even when the unit is turned off. All units show international symbols for non-English speaking operators.
1233W90 and W91 include a hot plate stirrer and the accessory kit (1233W92). This kit is designed for all Corning digital display hot plates and stirring hot plates (Models PC-400D, PC-420D, PC-600D, PC-620D). It is voltage independent and includes a temperature controller (1233W93) that controls the temperature of liquids up to 200°C, a two-piece, 5/16” (0.8cm) diameter, 18” (45.7cm) long support rod and magnetic stir bar retriever.
1231L68 is designed to operate on 230V/50 Hz with either the BS 1363A or CEE7-7 plug (both included) for use in parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and other areas with similar electrical requirements. Products are CE marked.
