The Mechanical Wave Kit helps students explore standing wave patterns at different resonant frequencies, longitudinal waves and the node and antinode points on the wave. The Mechanical Wave Kit was designed to include everything needed to study wave patterns. It includes a Sine Wave Generator that allows for adjustment of both the sine wave output and the amplitude. A Mechanical Wave Driver provides the vibrations on a string, spring or the Chladni plate. In addition, several accessories are included in the kit such as a resonance wire loop, two Chladni plates round and square, sand, longitudinal wave spring, and string, wire loop, connector cords, and tools. A support stand is provided as well to help secure the demonstrations.
