Z-Val-Glu(OMe)-Ile-Asp(OMe)-FMK is a synthetic peptide that irreversibly inhibits activity of VEID-dependent caspases (e.g., caspase-6). The inhibitor is designed as a methyl ester to facilitate cell permeability.
Z-Val-Glu(OMe)-Ile-Asp(OMe)-FMK used for both in vitro and in vivo studies. If the intended use is on purified or recombinant enzymes, esterase should be added to generate the free carboxyl groups.
