Augmentin

Augmentin is a mixture of Amoxycillin,Sodium/Potassium Clavulanate. In a ratio of 5:1. Amoxycillin is an inhibitor of bacterial cell wall synthesis. High activity against gram-negative bacteria like Argobacerium species. B-lactamase sensitive. Clavulanic acid is a specific inhibitor of B-lactamase and protects amoxicillin against inactivation by B-lactamase.
