.delta.-CEHC is a major β-oxidation metabolite of .delta.-tocopherol. Approximately 50% of a 3H-.delta.-tocopherol given as an intraperitoneal dose in rat is recovered in the urine as .delta.-CEHC, indicating this is the major route of metabolism.
