CoolBox XT and CoolBox 2XT Workstations provide up to 16 hours of Ice-Free cooling or Freezing for Tubes and Plates. CoolBox XT and CoolBox 2XT workstations keep tube or plate samples cold for over 16 hours with the lid on, and over 10 hours with the lid off. Use the optional XT Freezing Core to maintain frozen samples for up to 8 hours. Dry ice may be used in place of the cores to create a compact snap-freezing workstation. Available in 4 colors: purple, green, orange and pink.
Thermoconductive CoolRack tube modules and CoolRack plate modules are available to hold a variety of microfuge tubes, cryogenic vials, PCR plates and tubes, assay plates and more. Build your own CoolBox XT or 2XT system by choosing the workstation and sample module for your application or select a complete workstation.
Additional Cooling and Freezing Cores are available. The XT Cooling Core Provides over 16 hours of 0.5 to 4? cooling with CoolBox XT lid on and over 10 hours with lid off. Pre-freeze in a -20? freezer until frozen, then place in CoolBox XT base when ready to work. The XT Freezing Core provides over 8 hours of below 0? freezing with lid on and over 5 hours with lid off. Pre-freeze the Freezing Core in a -20ºC or -80ºC freezer until frozen then place in the CoolBox XT base when ready to work. CoolBox XT holds one XT Cooling or Freezing CoreCore. CoolBox 2XT holds two XT Cooling or Freezing Cores.
Use a CoolBox XT Extension Collar when keeping tall tubes such as 3, 4, or 5 mL cryogenic vials, 15 mL or 50 mL centrifuge tubes and blood collection tubes in the CoolBox XT ice-free cooling workstation.
