- Appearance of powder: Light yellow colored may have slight greenish tinge, homogeneous, free flowing powder
- Color and Clarity: Yellow colored, clear to slightly opalescent solution with a bluish tinge
- Reaction: Reaction of 5.2% w/v aqueous solution is pH 7.4 ± 0.2 at 25°C
- Cultural Response: Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35-37°C for 24 - 48 hours
