Conn's Agar is recommended for cultivation of fungi. Potato starch and maltose are carbon sources and potassium nitrate is the source of nitrogen. Phosphate buffers the medium. Magnesium sulphate provides essential ions for the growth of fungi. Agar acts as solidifying agent.
