General purpose medium and for cultivation of fastidious organisms. Promotes faster growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, viridans Streptococci and Enterococcus groups. It gives improved recovery of both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms from blood specimens.
