The Ricca Chemical zenker's fixative solution with a composition of 91.98% water, 4.72% mercuric chloride, 2.36% potassium dichromate and 0.94% sodium sulfate anhydrous, is most commonly used in some staining procedures. It is suitable for use in histological preservation and in radio autographic experiments. It can be stored at a temperature of 15 to 30 degree C.
