Application
For the detection and enumeration of lipolytic microorganisms in food and other material (staphylococci, pseudomonads, clostridiae and marine flavobacteria).

Reconstitution
Dissolve 20 g in 1 litre distilled water. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Let cool to 80°C and add 10 g neutral tributyrin (Fluka No. 91010).

Composition: agar, 12 g/L; special peptone, 5 g/L; yeast extract, 3 g/L
Final pH: 7.5±0.2 (37 °C)
Suitability: Flavobacteria; Lypolytic Bacteria; nonselective and differential for Bacillus; nonselective and differential for Clostridia; nonselective and differential for Pseudomonas; nonselective and differential for Staphylococcus
