General description: Adsorption of n-hexylamine on mercury from aqueous 0.1M NaOH has been studied by electrocapillary measurements.
Application: Hexylamine was used as initiator during the N2 flow-accelerated N-carboxyanhydride ring opening polymerization. It was also used to study the modification of alkanethlol monolayers via amide and ester formation reaction at gold surface via gas-phase surface reactions.
