Solubility: Insoluble in water. Clear soluble (50 mg/mL, CHCl3). It is soluble in hexane and can be crystallized from hexane. In water it tends to form a gel or emulsion. Two ml of a DMSO solution (10 mg/mL) of this product can be stirred slowly into 1L of perfusate containing albumin and salts. A slightly cloudy emulsion is formed.
