General description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a full-length human IL12RB1 protein.
General description: IL12RB1 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β1) gene is mapped to human chromosome 19p13.11. The encoded protein is a member of type I transmembrane receptors.
Biochem/physiol Actions: IL12RB1 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β1) regulates the physiological responses to a number of diseases. IL12RB1 binds to both IL 12 (interleukin 12) and IL 23 (interleukin 23) at a common binding point 12p40-domain.Variation in the gene affects the receptor sensitivity towards the cytokines IL 12 and IL 23. Thus, the gene is associated with the diseases that are regulated by IL 12 and IL 23. Susceptibility to diseases such as tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, malaria, cancer, pediatric asthma, and atopic dermatitis is related to IL12RB1.
