Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter released at nerve endings in both the central and peripheral nervous systems.[1] Acetylcholine chloride (C7H16ClNO2) is a stable cholinergic agonist with muscarinic and nicotinic actions.[2] It is available as white or off-white hygroscopic crystals, or as a crystalline powder.
