The SEAP Assay Kit (Secreted Alkaline Phosphatase) is a colorimetric assay for sensitive quantification of SEAP in culture medium from transfected cells or tissues. Alkaline phosphatase cleaves the colourless 4-nitrophenylphosphate (pNPP) substrate to give a yellow p-nitrophenolate product in alkaline solutions. It is commonly used as a reporter gene expression and can be accurately quantified. It is a truncated form of placental alkaline phosphatase (GPI-anchored protein). Main features: Designed to detect SEAP reporter gene expression Fast and easy analysis Colorimetric – measure with a standard spectrophotometer or an ELISA reader (405 nm) Multiple samples can be analyzed in low volumes Convenient and economical packaging: no tablet, no powder
