ASPIRIN, USP is a salicylate drug that is used as an analgesic, an antipyretic, and an anti-inflammatory. Because of the drugs ability to relieve minor aches and pains, reduce fever, and reduce swelling the drug it is an often used over the counter treatment for common aches and pains. Aspirin is part of a group of drugs known as NSAIDs, which stands for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
