Universal blocking regeant supplied as a 10X solution and used to reduce non-specific background in immunoassays. It is well suited for most blotting applications such as immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and ELISA assays. BetterBlockerTM-I contains Hammarsten grade casein in PBS (pH 7.4), Tween 20 (0.01% in 1X) and sodium azide preservative.
Dilute to 1X working solution with purified water. To use as a blocking buffer, cover surface area completely with solution. To use working solution as a diluent, dilute the antigen/antibody to desired concentration. BetterBlockerTM-I is also an ideal solution to coat plates for ELISA (treat plates at 2-8°C overnight).
