An affinity matrix ideal for isolation and purification of immunoglobins on a small scale. BlackPearl®-A consists of recombinant Protein A covalently coupled to BlackPearl® Magnetic Beads. Protein A has a high affinity for subclasses of IgG from a variety of species, including human, rabbit, mouse, and sheep. Coupled through a stable and leak resistant linkage over a wide pH range, this allows immunomagnetic purifications of IgG\'s from ascites, serum, or cell culture supernatants. The matrix can be regenerated up to 6 times with minimal loss of binding capacity. It can be used to immunoprecipitate target proteins from crude cell lysates using selected primary antibody. Specific antibodies can be covalently cross-linked to the BlackPearl®-A surface to create a reusable immunoprecipitation bead, thus avoiding the co-elution of antibody with the target antigen.
