MGB Alert® EBV ASR

Epstein-Barr virus is the cause of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) in immunosuppressed transplant recipients, and manifests as serious systemic symptoms. EBV is also the cause of mononucleosis in immunocompetent people.¹ The MGB Alert® EBV primer mix ASR ^§ amplifies, while the probe mix ASR detects, nucleic acids within the p140 region of the BNRF1 gene of Epstein-Barr virus.
