Re: Important Information Regarding Tariff Surcharge Implementation
Dear Valued Partner,
We hope this message finds you well. As you may be aware, the recent trade developments by the current administration have resulted in the implementation of increased tariffs affecting imported goods to the United States.
We would like to inform you of an important change that we will implement as of May 1?? - 2025.
After careful consideration and calculation, we have decided to introduce a tariff surcharge to reflect the impact of these tariffs on our pricing structure.
Key Information:
- List prices and discounts will remain unchanged. There will be no price increase nor change in dis count structure - for either our customers or distribution partners.
- Tariff Surcharge: A new line item will be added to all Quotes, Order Confirmations, and Invoices. This will be listed as a line item "Tariff Surcharge."
This surcharge will be 12% of the respective List Price of each item.
- Flexible Adjustment: Please note, this surcharge is not a permanent price increase. Given the ongoing negotiations between the EU-Commission and the US Administration, there may be future adjustments to the tariff levels. If tariffs are reduced or paused, we will immediately update our procedure accordingly and remove the surcharge.
- BINDER's Commitment: We want to emphasize that BINDER is committed to absorbing as much of the additional costs of these tariffs as possible. However, there remains a certain percentage that we must pass along, which is reflected in the surcharge.
We are sending this advance notice to ensure you have ample time to prepare for these changes. We will keep you updated on any further developments, and we will notify you when the surcharge is officially implemented.
