- This Eisco Labs hydraulic press is made with high quality borosilicate graduated cylinders and a metal frame.
- This model demonstrates how fluid pressure is used with in interconnected cylinders.
- The smallest cylinder has an petcock installed to control flow of air which creates the hydraulic simulation.
- Large Cylinder is 50 ml with 2ml graduations and the smaller cylinder is 10 ml with 0.2 ml graduations.
- This model stands 8" tall when both cylinders are empty. Metal Base is 6" x 4.25" with rubber pads.
This Eisco Labs hydraulic press is made with high quality borosilicate graduated cylinders and a metal frame. This model demonstrates how fluid pressure is used with in interconnected cylinders. Both Cylinders are connected at the bottom, The smallest cylinder has an petcock installed to control flow of air which creates the hydraulic simulation. Both cylinders are a different size to show the mechanical advantage of hydraulic pressure. Graduated Syringe barrels also allow simple Boyles law experiments to be conducted. Two 3.5" metal platforms are affixed to the top of each piston to be used to be in experiments. Large Cylinder is 50 ml with 2ml graduations and the smaller cylinder is 10 ml with 0.2 ml graduations. This model stands 8" tall when both cylinders are empty. Metal Base is 6" x 4.25" with rubber pads.
Eisco Labs Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point 515°C | Annealing Point 565°C | Softening Point 820°C.
