Flow Cytometry, Serology

Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) is a technique to purify specific cell populations based on phenotypes detected by flow cytometry. Flow cytometry tubes are used to hold a variety of samples, including cells, microorganisms, nanoparticles, and other particles. Before analysis, the samples are appropriately prepared, labelled with fluorescent dyes or antibodies, and suspended in a suitable buffer solution. The labelled samples are then loaded into the flow cytometry tubes for analysis. During the flow cytometry process, the samples are introduced into a fluid stream and passed through a laser beam. The laser excites the fluorochromes attached to the cells, causing them to emit fluorescent light. The emitted light is detected by photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) or other detectors, and the data is collected and analyzed to determine various characteristics of the cells or particles, such as size, granularity, and the expression of specific markers. Flow cytometry tubes play a crucial role in the successful execution of flow cytometry experiments, providing researchers with valuable information about the properties and composition of complex biological samples.

Flow cytometry tubes are designed with specific features to ensure accurate and efficient sample analysis.

Thomas Sci also offers a variety of other lab tubes, tube storage, and caps.
