General description: The Titan One Tube RT-PCR System uses Reverse Transcriptase AMV for first strand cDNA synthesis and the Expand High Fidelity enzyme blend consisting of Taq DNA Polymerase and a polymerase with a proofreading activity for amplification of cDNA by PCR. The proofreading activity, leads to an increased PCR fidelity. The Titan One Tube RT-PCR System:. Reduces the error rate in PCR due to the proofreading capability. A threefold higher fidelity is obtained in comparision to Taq DNA polymerase.. Delivers increased sensitivity due to the high efficiency of all three enzymes.. Is faster than conventional two-step RT-PCR.
Application: . The one-tube reaction system will reverse transcribe RNA into cDNA with Reverse Transcriptase AMV, then amplify the cDNA with a thermal cycling reaction using the optimized enzyme blend from the Expand High Fidelity PCR System. Depending on the primers used for the RT-PCR techniques, a specific message or the entire population of transcripts can be amplified. It can be also used for:Determining the presence or absence of RNA templates. Cloning of rare messages without the need to construct cDNA libraries. Quantifying the levels of gene expression
