Leucosep is designed to maximize the effectiveness of the separation of lymphocytes and monocytes (PBMCs) from whole blood and bone marrow. A porous barrier made of high quality Polyethylene is a unique feature which is firmly positioned in the actual polypropylene tube allowing for the rapid pouring of the blood sample into the tube without the risk of unwanted mixing of the sample and the separation medium contained below the disc. This disc also minimizes the risk of recontamination with red blood cells during recovery of the interphase -the interphase may simply be poured out.
