Thin, track-etched precision filters, similiar to the PCTE membranes, but with wider chemical resistance. The even and random pore distribution provides uniform sample capture on the surface of the filter. These characteristics make this filter material ideal for trace element and aerosol analysis, batch filtration of aggressive solutions and various cell studies. Polyester is resistant to most commonly used solvents and chemicals except for strong bases. Naturally hydrophilic, they contain no wetting agents, plasticizers or other extractables. Neither cytotoxic nor bacteriocidal so cell studies can be perfromed by simply adding appropriate cell nutrients. Repeatedly autoclavable and no damage has been observed with sustained exposure to temperatures of 140°C (284°F) in air or steam.
