Investigator41 Steamer is an autoclavable, gamma irradiated, re-usable hollow fiber cartridge, with WaterSep’s low binding, glycerin free modified PES membrane. The Investigator41 Steamer is ready to use without any pre-rinse or sanitization, or can be autoclaved as is, or in an assembly.
WaterSep’s Steamer Line is true plug-and-play, at its best - connect, use and discard, or clean with 0.5 - 1.0 M NaOH and re-use. The extractable level is approximately 80x less than a glycerin conditioned membrane, (see graph below) and after a quick buffer conditioning the HF cartridge is ready to use.
Investigator41 Steamer can be used as is or autoclaved in an assembly making it ideal for perfusion applications, vaccine purification -aseptic operations or any sterile application requiring autoclaving.
The Investigator Steamer Line hollow fiber cartridges are the products of choice for rapid clarification of pilot scale volumes of cell culture, fermentation solutions and virus/vaccine suspensions, utilizing WaterSep’s unique low binding glycerin free microfiltration membranes in 0.1, 0.2, and 0.45 µm.
For concentration and diafiltration of antibodies, enzymes, blood components and other proteins, as well as virus suspensions, choose among WaterSep’s wide range of glycerin free, low binding, antifouling ultrafiltration membranes with molecular weight cut-offs in 3K 5K, 10K, 30K, 50K, 100K, 300K, 500K and 750K Dalton.
The Investigator41 Steamer hollow fiber cartridge products are in most applications superior to conventional techniques, like centrifugation, depth filters, cassette cross flow systems or dialysis bags. Recommended sample volume for Investigator41 Steamer is 3 L-25 L.
